Randolph's Leap live is quite a different experience to the records; their 2014 album, Clumsy Knot, collected together lo-fi home recordings alongside some band numbers, showing the full range of front-man Adam Ross's songwriting talent. The live shows are more of a party, with the 8-piece band making their presence felt on every song.
That's not to say it's non-stop brass/violins/drums/bass/keys from start to finish. For example, listen to this live version of 'Unnatural', which is largely Adam on his own with guitar, delicately accompanied on harmonies at the chorus by the full band ... before every instrument triumphantly crashes in together (expertly mixed and mastered by our good pal, Robin Sutherland) ...
